Considering that more than three-quarters of retirement plan participants currently use Facebook, this opens up significant opportunities for providers.
Spectrem Group recently completed a study with more than 1,650 retirement plan participants. The research found that almost 30 percent of retirement plan participants would look for financial information on Facebook, if it were available, and 37 percent would be comfortable seeking financial information via LinkedIn. Twitter and YouTube beat out Facebook at 31 and 33 percent respectively.
