June 19, 2015 Fact of the Day: What do affluent investors gift to dad?
DID YOU KNOW THAT SHIRTS ARE NOT THE MOST POPULAR FATHER’S DAY GIFT FOR WEALTHY INVESTORS?
In research recently conducted by Spectrem Group, only 6 percent of investors plan to give Dad a shirt on Father’s Day. What was the most popular gift for Dad?
Thirty one percent of investors don’t give Dad a Father’s Day gift at all! That was the most popular response. Twelve percent will take Dad out for a meal and 7 percent will give him a gift card to a store of his choice. Six percent will give him a gift card to a restaurant or theater….the same percentage that are gifting Dad with a shirt. Four percent will give Dad a book.
- Men are more likely to not give Dad a gift than females at 38 percent versus only 28 percent of women.
-The wealthiest investors are the least likely to give Dad a gift at 41 percent. These investors tend to be older and may not have a Dad.
-Those with 100-199,000 of net worth are the most likely to take Dad out for a meal at 20 percent.
What are you getting Dad for Father’s Day this year? Maybe I should re-think the shirt.
