The biggest share of $25 Million Plus investors are entrepreneurs, according to a recent Spectrem Group study, $25 Million Plus Investor 2012, which found that 27 percent of the ultra high net worth are entrepreneurs.

The second most common occupation for a $25 Million Plus investor is senior corporate executive, according to our research. Executives are the second largest group, accounting for 15 percent of $25 Million Plus investors. Managers account for the third largest share, 7 percent, while investors make up 6 percent of $25 Million Plus investors. Doctors and dentists account for another 6 percent.
The various occupational groups tend to favor differing wealth-building strategies. Entrepreneurs are much more likely to attribute their success to "taking risk," while professionals are more likely to indentify their education as a key wealth creation factor.
