The Retirement Income Solution Gap

Spectrem identifies the existing retirement income product offerings of 10 to 15 existing retirement income product providers and profile the offerings. These product components were tested in a non-disclosed brand neutral manner in both the quantitative and qualitative research identified below to allow financial providers to understand which types of offerings and features appeal to investors.


The primary quantitative online research was conducted with more than 750 HNW investors who have been retired for more than five years and will be compared with research of 750 investors who intend on retiring within the next five years. It is supplemented with focus group highlights with both HNW retirees and pre-retirees. The goal of the research is to allow financial providers and advisors to develop products and strategies to assist pre-retirees in successful solving their retirement income challenges.
