October 5, 2015 Fact of the Day: Financial Literacy
DID YOU KNOW THAT AS WEALTH INCREASES, SO DOES ONE’S ENJOYMENT OF INVESTING?
In research recently conducted by Spectrem Group, it was found that 40 percent of non-Millionaires enjoy investing and don’t want to give it up. That compares, however, to 50 percent of those with more than $1 million who enjoy investing and don’t want to give it up. And for investors with more than $5 million, 63 percent enjoy investing and don’t want to give it up.
A similar progression occurs with those who like to be actively involved in the day-to-day management of investments. Forty-two percent of non-Millionaires like to be involved in the day-to-day management of their investments. That percentage increased to 49 percent of Millionaires that like to be involved in the day-to-day investment of their assets. It jumps to a whopping 58 percent of households with more than $5 million.
