June 24, 2015 Fact of the Day: Majority of Baby Boomer plan participants worry about THIS!
Did you know that 59 percent of Baby Boomers participating in retirement plans through their employers are worried about Having Someone to Care for me in my Old Age? What else are they worried about?
1. 48 percent are worried about caring for aging parents.
2. 69 percent of Baby Boomers are worried about maintaining their current financial position
3. 63 percent worry about being able to retire when they want
4. Half worry about a family health catastrophe.
These worries are pretty significant considering the age of these individuals. It’s important for financial advisors as well as retirement plan providers to recognize the needs of these individuals and provide appropriate education for investors to make the most of their situations.
And if you are one of the Baby Boomers facing these challenges, it’s time to reach out for financial advice. The longer investors wait to face their challenges, the less likely it is that they will achieve the best available outcome.
