PNC Financial Services Group Inc. is among the top preferred primary bank of ultra-high-net-worth investors nationwide.
The annual survey by Spectrem Group, a Lake Forest, Ill.-based research firm, surveyed investors with a net worth between $5 million and $25 million. Bank of America Corp. and Wells Fargo & Co. tied for first place, each selected by 16 percent of respondents. JPMorgan Chase & Co. was second with 11 percent. Citi was third at 4 percent.
But Pittsburgh's biggest bank tied for the No. 1 spot in a crucial age category. PNC and JPMorgan Chase (NYSE:JPM) each claimed 15 percent of wealthy investors between the ages of 48 and 54. It also rated high with senior-level executives.
